We are living in a world filled with Bad things. Bad things happen to us, to people who are "good". Even when we try our hardest, do our best, seek God, stay focused, bad things still happen. Sometimes we take part in the responsibility unknowingly... and we know that God is in control, so he has the power to do whatever he chooses.
So when bad things happen to you, how do you not blame God? How do you focus on God's goodness?? The word is clear--God is only good and can do no bad. So if God is only good, and bad things happen--but God has the power to change things...how do you KNOW that God is good? Give examples....

The only way I can know that God is good is knowing who He is. Searching the Scriptures and learning about His character, His promises, His fulfilled prophecies...that is the only way I know to remind myself is this fallen, frustrating world that God is good. Then I must remember the blessings in my own life. Sometimes in the middle of the storm it is easy to forget the sunny days. That's why God commands us to remember. We must try to expand our perspective and then trust that God is who He says He is and that He will do what He says He will do, no matter our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6)
I know everyone has had a "why would God do this to me?" moment, But when I look back at those moments I remember that everything turned out just fine at the end. So now when bad things happen I know that good will come out of it, so I just look for the light at the end of the tunnel. Because I know that I am in good hands and the bad things in my life will turn into something postive.
